Argentina are in the World Cup Final

The semi-final match of the 2022 World Cup between Argentina and Croatia was played today. The game was held at the Lusail Stadium The match ended in favor of Argentina who left Croatia no chance.

Lionel Messi opened the scoring. He converted the penalty. Messi comfortably drove the ball under the crossbar almost to the top right corner. Julian Alvarez increased the lead in the 39th minute. Croatia failed to convert their corner kick, and the Argentina launched a quick counterattack. Alvarez dribbled the ball from the middle of the field and with a bit of luck converted his chance.

In the 69th minute, Julian Alvarez got his brace and ended the game. Lionel Messi got a world class assist. He made a series of faints on the right side of the Croatian penalty box, beating the defender Josko Guardiol. Alvarez sent the ball into the lower left corner with an excellent shot.
